Our Story

Before Breathe Love became the dream I am building today, these words sat at the center of every table at our wedding.

They were also carried home on copper mugs made for our family and friends, alongside our names and wedding date.

Breathe Love.

They were more than décor.

They were an intention for our marriage and a blessing for every person gathered around us.

Pause.
Breathe.
Connect.
Love.

Let love be the place we come back to, again and again.

A reminder I carry with me

The words also live on my arm as a tattoo — a permanent and often-needed reminder of how I want to move through the world.

Breathe Love has always been more than two words to me.

It began in my marriage, became something I carry with me and continues to guide the way I want to live and love.

It is also what I hope our children carry as a deep knowing: that they are loved, that they matter and that love is something they can return to and share.

From something personal to something shared

Over time, I kept returning to the quiet power of handwritten words—the way a few honest sentences can make someone feel seen, remembered, and loved.

That began with my mom.

Throughout my life, she has given me cards filled with words I’ve held onto—words that make me feel known, held, and deeply loved. The practice continues, and I still keep them because some words simply feel too meaningful to let go. Days, months, even years later, I can return to them and still feel what she gave me in that moment.

Her cards taught me something I don’t think I fully understood at the time: words given with love can be kept, carried, and returned to when we need them most.

Perhaps that is why I believe so deeply in putting love into words.

What began as something deeply personal slowly became something I wanted to share. Breathe Love grew into a monthly ritual—a reason to pause, reflect, and put love into words. A moment to return inward, before reaching outward to someone else.

Keep one. Pass one on.

Meg smiling in a black top

Hi, I’m Meg.

I’ve always been drawn to the small things that bring us closer—the words we hold onto, the gestures that make someone feel remembered and seen, and the moments that remind us what really matters.

I grew up in upstate New York, and today life is shared with my wife, our two children and our two dogs. I love traveling, experiencing new places, and meeting people along the way. There is something about hearing someone’s story, seeing how they move through the world, and discovering the things that connect us that has always stayed with me.

Breathe Love grew from that part of me. It brings together so much of what I value: presence, connection, reflection, and care.

I create each ritual with the hope that it gives you a reason to pause, reconnect with yourself, and reach toward someone else.

Thank you for being here and for being part of Breathe Love.

Love, shared further

Breathe Love has always been about more than the words we send. It is about the care behind them, the connection they create, and the ways we can show up for one another.

In honor of one of our dearest friends, and of so many who are in need of care and support, a portion of Breathe Love proceeds will support nonprofit organizations providing mental health resources to those who need them.

A small way to extend the love, care, and connection at the heart of Breathe Love.

Now, those same words are becoming an invitation I can share with others.

Return inward.
Reach outward.
Put love into words.
Remind someone they matter.

That is the heart behind every word, every card and every ritual sent into the world.

Love,
Meg xo
